To all the Ladies out there,
I would like to briefly touch upon women's health issues such as Endometriosis, Fibroids, Dysmenorrhea, and the amazing author Christiane Northrup. She writes about the "split within the body where a woman's emotional needs are competing with her functioning in the outside world." As women we have a want to nurture, and in the outside world we are expected to compete with men and develop our careers, it's not easy to stop and listen to our body.
What are some holistic healing options?
1) Eliminate dairy
2) Cut down on sugar, especially before your Menses if you have severe cramps
3) Eliminate red meat - this is beneficial for some women, not all, and make sure you are getting enough Iron in other ways. Try eliminating around the time of your cycle, or even just cutting down.
4) Magnesium: 100 mg every 2 hours during time of pain. Do not exceed 1,000 mg/day or stools will become too loose.
5) Omega 3, Fish Oils or Flaxseed Oils
6) Vitamin B Complex
If you have tried all this and are still having difficulty, consult a homeopath or another holistic physician who may be able to put your body back to balance.
Thanks for reading,
Sarah
