Benefits of Headstand

With the proper alignment, Headstand, or Shirshasna, strengthens the body, circulates blood to the head, and has a calming effect. You can practice against a wall, try walking your feet in as close as possible and lifting one leg at a time, or your knees into the chest. With practice, and core strength, both feet will lift off at the same time.
